GLORIA (GLObal digital twin for RegIonal and local climate Adaptation) is a project coordinated by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) funded by the Spanish Ministry for Science and Innovation (MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033) and the European Union ‘NextGenerationEU’/PRTR. GLORIA aims to develop a digital twin for climate adaptation to respond to the information needs of the adaptation community. The project will change the way in which climate information has traditionally been delivered to the adaptation community, using a user-centred design that considers user needs and provides operationally an interactive data flow. The project's working team is composed by experts in climate modelling, computational efficiency of environmental codes, development of digital twins, climate adaptation requirements and user engagement, to ensure that project objectives are achieved. The team also includes key external users that help in the development of sectoral applications, including the Spanish energy company ENDESA, the Spanish Wine Technological Platform and the interantional insurance company AXA XL.

The GLORIA project invites climate adaptation researchers and practitioners working in climate sensitive organisations to fill in a survey on the awareness and expectations from the climate change adaptation digital twin. The main objective is to inform the climate science community and ensure the digital twin outputs answer user needs, while allowing a better management of users’ expectations.

The survey takes about 10-15 min to complete. It will be open until the 30th March.
